Here is about as blingy as mine is ever gona be I think. Spent some time buffing it out a little today and a fresh coat of paint is curing on the hood right now.

Not a big chrome fan. In fact I like the stealth look or just color match. Still want to black out the mirrors and black andodize some of the trim peices but haven't gotten around to it.

paint turned out like crap, looks like I durabacked it or rino lined my truck, the paint tried to set the second it hit the truck,

Came out real textured right away, I talked to the paint store, took them the paint and they determined it had moistster in it /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I would have been better off at mayco or earlshibe...but I learned some more and the texture looks like it is there for a reason..so not a total loss /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif


az pinstriping or scratchs are not going to bug me so much now..I could always sand it down and start over /forums/images/graemlins/eek.gif

You could always wet sand it.

I think your paint looks great anyway. A little sanding, and some rubbing compound, and I bet she'd be perfect.

How about a good buffing job with some elbow grease? Would that smooth out the paint just enough?

sorry guys you cant wet sand it, it would make the paint look hazy and kill the pearl in it, it is a single stage urethane,

I may sand it done and start over /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

I spend most of last night putting the doors and dash back together, weather stripping ect..


tonight I will get the stock bumpers on for now and get the beliner done, hopfully get the billit grill on,


so do you guys think it needs a 2 inch body lift?

Just stop wheeling it. No additional lift or hacking required if you dont flex it.

The front clip will look realy nice with the billet grille and bowtie like mine matched with that color.
