more wheel rust questions

cheap chrome steel wheels, they are pretty rusty but clean up well with a grinder. I don't wanna paint them, but I would like a spray on clear coat or similar protectant to keep the rust from coming back. I can't find anything at the auto part stores and I don't want to buy an air gun setup to spray on real clear coat. Any suggestions appreciated.

Go to your local hardware store and buy some Rustoleum clear coat. I've used it before with good results.

Yep, rustoleum clear coat in a rattle can, works good.
