I think that means its already in the works. Now if I only had $60k.:haha:

I've spent weeks in Mogs both on and offroad and LR 110's will go a damn sight more places. Mogs are too big and waaay too heavy.

If you constantly crossing rivers or need to haul they are the sheet but otherwise....just like a hummer but bigger.

I just re read the article he bought a brand new P-wagon and a wrecked cummins and did the swap he had to use an after market bumper to make the winch clear the Intercooler

My first vehicle was a 91 explorer with a 4.0. It was a pretty capable thing for stock with 235s I though. Thing that always held me back or got me stuck was the fiberglass running boards that were on it. But they looked good so they were never taken off.

MY 96 SBlazer is fairly cabable too. The thing I liked about both of them is they have plenty of storage. Both were/are good hunting vehicles. That being said hands down I love my K10. I have never come close to burying it in a snow drift or mudhole. Granted I knew limitations and was honestly a little scared of taking it into some places that I never would have looked twice with my Explorer.

I think once your comfortable with a stock vehicle you can almost go as many places as a uncomfortable person with a modded rig.

Now for my pic whoreing. Only pic I have of my Explorer

My K10...which Im sure most of you have seen a pic of

Extremly capiable trucks are s10s, there so light. I had a 87 longbox reg cab s10. I put a 3.4 camaro engine in it. The only way you can get one stuck is to drag the pig. Mine with the bald tires would go anywhere and the only time i got stuck was wheelin in the winter when i fell through some ice up tot he bumpers and couldnt move forward or backward.

Ah the exploder, I remember that from the early days of orc.

i had a 95 jimmy that did great, but as far as stock goes, behind the power wagon i would say the new trd tacomas are way capable with their stock rear lockers and such

if they made a power wagon with a cummins i wouldnt buy it, somebody in petersens said something along the lines of if it has a cummins it wouldnt be more capable, sure if i won the lotto i would love a cummins powerwagon for a tow rig but till then id rather have a stock dually non 4x4 for towing

I would never buy a 2wd dually they get stuck to easy . and my 'towrigs" have to be 4x4 because alot of the time when I go get a vehicle it's not always on terra firma or it's tucked up behind someones barn or some other hard to get to place

But your right about the Cummins it would actually hinder that trucks offroad performance especially in Mud and sand

Yep, clear back in 2000 was when I got it, I think I joined ORC in 2001...gosh it seems so long ago. Have I grown up much since then. I dont remember I wanted somethin like a 12 inch lift on it and a custom 5 inch body lift so I could fit 44 inch boggers:haha:

Course I had no concept of beefing any of the drivetrain for that:doah:

This is funny but you all are WRONG

TOTALLY WRONG.

If you looked under all the Factory "Off Road" Vehicle and compared how they are engineered. this includes Gwagon's and Heeps, There is nothing as durrable or built for abuse better that a POS damn English built "LAND ROVER DISCOVERY." They are Zbox, Square Framed, solid axle, coil sprung, skid plate covered, traction control locker simulating BEATERS. 2004's even had factory Center Diff lock(Best year in anyones opinion) I challenge anyone to name a better built factory off road vehicle and I will tell you a # of reasons the Discovery is better.

I like my K5, but its a fullsize, and compared to smaller rigs, the size is a disadvantage.

I can't believe no one has mentioned any Toyotas in the thread...FJ40, taco's, etc. Many capable vehicles in that bunch.

Nobody has mentioned my favorite.......Suzuki Samurai ! $50 because they "roll over too easy". 2000 pounds and with a simple locker in the rear will go anywhere. I added a VW diesel to mine and it is just crazy offroad.
