Sorry I just need to rant!!!

I placed an order with Motion Off Road :flipoff2:on 5/17/2011 for a set of alignment shims for a Dana 44. The web site did not say anything about the item being out of stock or on backorder. I called on Friday the 5/27/2011 to check the status of the order and was told that they were waiting for the manufacture to send the shims. I was told to call back in a week. I called back this morning and was told that Motion Off Road was waiting for the order from the manufacture still (they have not been shipped by the manufacturer). I asked to cancel the order because I needed the part sooner. The lady said ok but I would have to pay a 30% restocking fee!! This upset me a little!! They don’t have the part, they don’t have to re-stock it, and 30% WTF!!!. I said fine take my $12.00 and refund me the rest. She said that they do not refund my card but will give me a store credit. I said no way I want the money refunded because I NEVER plan on doing business with them again!! After talking with a “supervisor” she said that she could only offer a store credit!!! So I told her not to cancel my order and send the shims when they come in. I would rather sell the shims for whatever I could get that to lose all my money (I would not shop there even if I did have the credit)!!

This is a total BS policy!! I could see if they sent the part, or the part was on their shelf and they had to “re stock” it but they did not have the part. And to only offer store credit!! TOTAL BS!!

I am just giving people a heads up on the kind of service you can expect from the assholes at Motion Off Road :flipoff1:!!!

Ditto, call the credit card company and put a stop payment on this. That is total BS on trying to charge a re-stocking fee when they never shipped the part to you to begin with.

trend?

Starting to see a trend forming.

Guess next time I place an order I'm going to have to inform the person i am recording the conversation, and ask point blank "is this part, or parts in stock or not?". Not 100% sure if it will help out later, but with the lies and misrepresentations starting to sprout from some parts places I think we may all have to start protecting ourselves.

The shims are "warrior" 3" 2 degree steel shims. Not sure if this is the manafacture or what. I will try calling the credit card compamy and see waht they say.
