i bought an 85 suburban from the auction and it had a replacement 350 motor in it and i cannot for the life of me read the numbers behind the head, so i got the sufix numbers from behind the alternator and they don't match with anything I found on the internet. They all say i should have 8 and i only have 7. I don't know where to look on the net to find what kind of motor it is, see if it is a goodwrench replacement than why does it have an older timing chain cover and a new harmonic balancer, nothing matches. I don't even know anymore if it is a 350. I cracked a head or gasket sat and need to know what part to get and need the info.

I don't know the answer to your question, but if you post this in one of the regular forums and not the Land Use forum you will get an answer from some one.
