ok lately i have been talking about the 69-79 gen 350 im building well i went to adjust my rockers yesterday with the engine on the engine stand and first i rotated the engine by hand. well when it would rotate it would hit a certain point when down near the pan i could hear a clunk. and if you rocked the balancer back and forth it would clunk back and forth. it only happens once and im wondering what could it be? i took the pan off to replace the rear main and everything looked fine. and the pan has one of those oil galley tray thingys in it. a main bearing cap be hitting that when it turns over? or could it be hitting the oil pan side wall? im gonna tear it apart tomorrow but i was kinda wondering if anybody could point me in the right direction. thanks
