anyone have any stock motor mount pics? need several angles. trying to help out Kert @ DIY4X build the Gen1 x-member. need some pics of clearance between the x-member and oil pan. also of how the assembly comes together at the shell & horn. thanks.

Hey, is the X-member going to be able to bolt forward or back from its original position? It'd be nice to have that option-tuck the engine BEHIND the front axle.

After I move my front axle forward, and depending on where the engine pullies are in conjunction with the X-member, I'd like to have the option of moving the engine/driveline back so the engine pullies are behind the front axle. BTW, I'm also going to move the rear axle back too.

Also, keep us posted (i.e. pics, updates, etc.) I'm very interested in one!

Here are some pics I took this morning.


The first few are of the stock engine crossmember in my 69 K20 that I put a BBC in. Again, I used some washers to raise the engine up slightly and also moved the crossmember forward about 3/8" to gain oil pan clearance. The BBC has a truck oil pan.

Here is the stock engine crossmember in my 70 K5 with the stock SBC.
