In the market for a new set and was advised to go as stiff as possible.

So..who carries them for a good price?

mount info

i have the stock shell mounts and replaced inners with energy suspension and WOW what a difference the motor is much smother ideling in the frame and lanches better on the street . i also used the tranny mount that realy did the trick.

Go to the parts store (I went to Autozone) and get the energy suspension poly inserts for your metal clamshells. Also a VERY good idea to replace the tranny mount at the same time with the same material.

Ok heres the thing.....I have a fresh th350 and np205 waitin to be installed so Ive been gettin my stuff ready, as Ive been doing so Ive come acrss quite a few people who say go stiff on the motor mounts and somewaht soft on the xmember and torque mounts...... Ive been leaning towards Energy Susp all around but I think that would make the drivetrain too rigid in the frame...

I would love for you guys to toss in yer .02, specially those runnin a th350/205 combo!!!!!

you have to (well highly suggested) run the same material on the tranny mount as the motor mount, otherwise the tranny case is likely to crack. I run polyeurethane (sp?) all around.

I recomend the energy suspension also. I have the whole hyper flex kit plus motor mounts in my Mustang and love it. Vast improvememt over rubber. The k5 is next in line for one when I do the springs this spring.

Wouldn't runnin all poly bushings make the drivetrain too rigid within the frame? i.e. not enough flex?
