Can anyone please offer an opinion (experience) on using the Energy Suspension part #3.1121G "insert" motor mounts. I realize you have to separate the factory clamshells to install the inserts and I'm OK with that but my fear is that these mounts transfer noticeable engine vibration. My goal is to install quality motor mounts the last as well as handle the torque from my freshly rebuilt motor.

Thanks in advance...:D

Dumb question - how hard is to change motor mounts and trans mounts.

and how do I know if mine are bad. My truck is 84 k5 with 144k on the odo. Ive had the truck for 10years and only wheel it lightly and I dont think the org. owner wheeled it much as it was completely stock when I bought it.

Also where to get trany/trans mount if I were to do my motor mounts too?

1 side at a time on motor mounts. lift up 1 side of motor in frame.

bit tight but can be done easy.

then lift up tranny/tcase and swap the mount and bolt back down easy.

bone stock rubber . any decent parts store for replacements.

others like energy suspension = order or mabye some parts stores stock r get. then ord or diy4x = them direct threw them.

and if 1984 = motor mounts prob shot.

tranny/tcase not far behind.
