I have a 1977 c10 with 305 we swapped everything over onto a 1985 k10 frame which had the oem clamshells still bolted to the frame went to drop motor in and could not get engine mounts to line up could not get the buckets from c10 to drop into the ears on the clamshell from the k10 get one side then the other side the hole in the bucket would be right ontop of the upper ear on the clamshell i did see the clamshell from my c10 are different from the k10 the c10 bolt holes to the frame would not lineup on the k10 frame. So i iam wondering if maybe there is a difference in the buckets between my c10 and k10.
Clamshells are the rubber mounts
Buckets are bolted to the engine block

If I remember correctly, the frame changed in 80-82 and the mount is different. Try using the mounts that are for the frame since the block is the same

Also, my 84 K10 came from the factory with triangular spacers that go between the buckets and the engine.
