MOtor prob HELP

alright yesterday my motor was making allota noises that i aint never heard before. got home checked the oil...it was below the add line (it was actually dry ) My radiator also needed water.

Today i drove it again, it runs fine except for when you get on the throttle when i gets up into higher rpms (ready to shift) it starts backfiring through the carb. when you let off it no longer has the ravenging exhaust pulses that i love so much lol.

I know that i have a stuck lifter as i can hear it at idle. WHat could be causing this problem? i've fiddled with the timing and it hasnt realy helped much. Hopefully i havent burned anything bc of the low oil

pull your valve covers and see if the push rods are where they are supposed to be I have a feeling you might see one of them peaking thru the rocker

fixed it, it was a loose rocker arm.
