ok got a busy weekend ahead pulling 460 and 4 spd and np205 out of my f350. question is can i pull the 460 with the 4spd still hooked up? seems like a lot of weight. i have the whole front clip removed from the truck.

Then im loading the truck on the trailer to take to scrape. saving the 1ton 4x4 rears thought! then pulling the f250 4x4 in the gargage and pulling the motor and trans and transfer case. (makin room for the 460 & 4spd ) then the next project is pulling the K10 in the shop and taking the body off the frame so that my buddy can take the rolling chassis. (for his 55 4x4 project ill sneak some pics ) Looks like were gona go through a ton of beer this weekend!

I did this to my 89 earlier this week. 454, TH400 and 205 still attached. All the accessories still hooked up. Took the core support off, made it alot easier. Only snag was the exhaust and the yoke on the t-case.

did you pull them out all together in one shot? i have the carb off and the plate on the intake to hook the cherry picker to just wondering if the motor and trans are gona be to heavy?

Used a tractor and a chain. Slid around, but never posed a problem. Dunno bout the carb plate thing, to me that is alot of weight being supported by 4 5/16 or whatever size bolts....

thats what i was thinking. guess ill just unbolt the 4spd and np 205. that 4spd is alot heavier than a th400 anyhow. oh well off to the garage of fun!

Man what a weekend! pulled the 460ci 4spd trans and np205 out all together in one shot! with the plate on the intake! no damage and went pretty easy. just wish i wouldve remembered to take my camera! ill snap some shots of the motor trans and transfer all together on my shop floor.
