I have a 1990 Chevy full size blazer and a 1987 Chevy silverado The blazer has a 350 fuel injected engine. The 1987 Pickup had a 350 fuel injected engine in it and now has a Newer Crate 350 engine in it. I want to swap the engines. and sell the pickup. The Silverado still has the computer in it and has all the wiring. Will the blazer engine work with the silverado computer? I believe the blazer and silverado came with the same 350 engine from the factor but I am not 100% sure. Please let me know anything that has to do with and engine swap like this one.
Thank you

You will need to make sure the computer numbers are the same. If they are then should be np. I believe though they'll be different. If the harness is the same switch computers and you should be ok. Maybe someone else will know for sure but I would make sure just to be safe.

I swapped a crate engine from a 87 Burb into my 90 K5 and all I did was swap the front accessories and used the TBI and the water pump from the 90. Only reason I swapped the TBI is the one on the 90 was rebuilt. It's pretty easy to do, just swap what is different from engine to engine.

how can I check to make sure they have the same computer?
