A small block is a small block for the most part.. If the 350 is a 87 or newer it has centerbolt heads... The only difference is that the 2 center holes in the intake go straight down instead of an angle...and the bolts that hold your valve cover down are on the center where as the older small block valve covers bolt down with 4 bols on the outside edge...

Yeap. If You need a good 5.7 i got one complete from Air cleaner to every thing that attaches to the front. And harness and computer, and new HD radiator. I live down near mobile if interested.

Well the 305 is a goodwrench crate with about 50,000 miles or so I was told, the motor seems good, no oil leaks or funny noises. I am having the 6 inch lift put on tommorow and plan on running the 33 tires that are on it until they wear out, since they are new it could be a year or more before I get new ones. What would be a good all around gear ratio for the 35's. The truck has 3.42 gears right now.

Yeah that was what I was thinking but just wanted some other opinions. This truck is not my daily driver, I only bought it because my 02 K1500 is black and shows every little scratch put on it from hunting season, this truck is just to take the kids hunting and camping.

Different PROM, different injectors, different knock sensor and ESC module. Depends if manual or auto trans application as well.
There's a couple of 305-350 differences based on the '87's stock TBI system.

The 205 is 100% better...Gear drivin and cast iron vs. chain driven and alluminum

They are both Good. It really depends on what you are going to do with it. 208 is light and has better ratio than 205. 205 is TUFF and heavy

Just wondering, I had someone offer to sell me one but didnt know if I really wanted it, still wet behind the ears on all this building kick a** 4x4's. I always just bought them and drove them till I got tired of them.
