What is the groups thoughts on a 400 with a turbo or twins? Yea I know about the heating issues and how to combat that, but that's not what I am after, I'm more after the 400 with turbos. Why? Why not. I've got 3 400 509 casing blocks coming to me from california, and I have been racking my brain with what to do with them. I've settled on keeping all three, and building one at a time. I really would like to hear opinions about 400s with turbos as a daily driver in a 89 v1500 suburban. Thoughts and comments and as always thanks for your time!

Turbos are great, but do take some research and possibly some fancy fabricating.

I have looked at building my own turbo kit for the ol 6.2 and it seems like most have some pretty serious growing pains as far as which turbos to use and the best way to make them work.

Twins will take more, but forced induction is great, especially for a daily driver

The good thing about running twins is you can run two smaller turbos rather than one large one. Which means they will spool faster and get you into the boost sooner. Also you can run them at 3-4 psi a piece rather than running the one large turbo at 8-10 and it will help keep the intake temps down.
