So I ordered this piece to mount the tablet to and got half of it today. (See pics below)

I am going to use smutty built console to mount it to. Will post pics tomorrow after installing this tonight.

I agree. I run a ipad for tunes and navigation with a flexible mount like that. The mass on the end of that is like trying to balance a bowling ball on the end of a broomstick. It can be done but it's going to be moving all over when driving.

I added a short section of pvc pipe with a "t" fitting over the flexible aluminum rod and secured the other end on my console with a clamp. Mine wiggles a little on rough stuff, but is pretty solid on pavement. Paint the pcv parts black with some fusion paint and it looks like it came that way.

Fow now I just did a window suction mount with magnet but I lost my damn Note android phone I was going to use just for the PF4! Its somewhere in my house. Have to use my actual phone when I need to look at things. Used my larger samsung tablet but its white and way too big.
 
I mounted the main holder to the front seat, didn’t have to drill any holes. Once I get done painting the Pcv I’ll finish install and post pics
