Idk if it is still around, but there was a website dedicated to a guys to find and restore/recreate the Camaro from Better Off Dead. And I believe there is a guy in Arizona who re-created the car from The Wraith.

All you need is a valve that bypasses the blower. It's conceivable that one could be integrated internal to the blower housing. Some modern cars have a really small one to dump "excess boost" (as if there were such a thingThe toogle switch operated roots blower would be hard to recreate.
), but this would need to be like 3" in diameter or better. Like a modern electronic throttle or an old school exhaust cutout with a cable. There's a few things you could use to turn the blower into an idler. I don't know how much fuel would be saved, though, compared to just easing off the throttle.Building a replica car with a non-functional blower would just be lame, IMO.
