Moving a K5 with no motor. Question about trans

I just got done pulling the 6.2L out of my 85 K5 (1st time pulling a motor). I have the K5 sold already and need to get it out of the garage to make room for my suburban. The K5 has a 700r4 in it which is currently being supported by a jack stand. I will not be moving it far, just down my driveway to a spot on my property to store it.

How do I support the transmission while rolling the K5?

slide something under the front of the trans, or bolt a 2x4 to the bellhousing and let the 2x4 rest on the frame.

Doubled up baling wire. Thru the top tranny bolt holes, and up and around the hood hinges.

both solutions sound easy and workable. I think I will give the 2x4 method a go, as I have plenty of 2x4s around.

Next up, pushing the burb into the garage.

i just hang a motorcycle strap in the dail pin holes and secure it to somethin.....
