4F981078-32C3-4B7C-A548-23116BAA18C2.jpeg im wanting to move the axle forward a little bit. My question is how far should I go and does it mess with geometry of the cross over steering?

I would say that you should be able to go 1.5" without having problems with the drag link giving problems by getting too close to the tie rod. I went 1" forward with only about 3.5" of lift and I have plenty of room. I should have gone 1.5" and it would have saved me the trouble of shortening the front driveshaft. I had already made clearance for the tires and torqued the U- bolts so I didn't buy axle relocation plates and go forward more.
I believe that @Fastereddie went 2" forward when he had leaf springs.

I think that’s what I had. Definitely had 1-1/2” offset plates. I think when I had ord build my springs they were + 1/2” or + 1”

Yeah I want to get a set of ord springs to replace these 12” superlifts but still run 40s.

I went forward by just drilling new holes. Works good with crossover and 4" of lift. I think I could only get 1 3/8" with the stock spring pads.

We technically I guess I’m forward 2”. Went to 52” springs in the front and did not move the rear, did no redrilling

jus did a 4" tuff country hd spring set and 1" ord zero rate set up for 1.5" forward push out . works just fine with the ord crossover steering on a dana 60 . clears 37" tires on a good flex test .

I did the re-drill way back in the day. I went 1.25" running 5" of lift, some trimming and 40's. Was perfect...and I shoulda just left it alone at that point...but that's another story.
