I need to move the front axle on a s-10 back about 5 inches after the SFA conversion, would i be better off to move the front schakels, redrill the springs or use a add a leaf. I am using 4inch lift springs for a k-5 as the springs.

i would like to center the axle more in the wheel well so i do not have to hack the fenders a ton

move the front hanger and then move the shackle back. you would prolly be better off keeping it the way it is. you gatta be careful bout firewall contact etc.

i am keeeping a eye on the firewall clearence. I have no idea what size tire hes running yet, the truck is a s-10 blazer sitting at about 10 inches of lift with a SFA. The front axle center line ended up being farther forward then i would like it

here is a few pics of the truck, in the front is a D44 eight lug, the rear is going to get a 14blt ff. the tires on the front are only 31s, i my buddie should be able to fit at least 35's under there.

looks like you can turn the springs around. might be just the picture though. you wont get 5" but it'll be better.
