Towed to his shop, perches and shock mounts moved and towed back he will do it for 250. Is that a descent price? I am having no luck with welders. Anybody know someone in NJ who could do this work??

Thanks mike

Really i was thinking that was high. Also i am not to sure whats involved. thanks

mike

its a major PITA, if it was just the perches, i would say high, but when you add in the tow i thinks it is a good idea

Haha, are you joking? $250 for two tows and an easy welding job? Take the axle out, take it to a welder, have him torch off the old spring perches and weld on the new ones. I had a friend of mine do mine, but when I asked around, most welders said it'd cost me around $20.

S#it that guys makign money. I took a 10 bolt out of a tahoe, cut the shock mounts, and swaybar mounts off, put them on the 14bff, put new perches on, ran the lines for the disk brakes and only got $150, and he hasnt even payed me all of it. I seriously need to charge peopel more for th ework I do.

Seems high to me. I paid like 30 bucks to have my perches welded on, twice. They could't seem to tell the difference between a van width and a regular 14 bolt. Of course I cut the old ones off myself which was a PITA. I stripped the axle down, drug it in, had them weld them on, and drug it back home in the back of my Chickadee.
