Moving stock length front springs foreward?

What he's suggestion is nothing like your set-up. I don't see the correlation. Try to imagine your shackle 12" forward and the problems that would create.

IMO it's not worth the trouble. I would rather use 52 or 56. You would save a lot of work and have a better suspension in the end. Why don't you sell your springs and buy a set of 52 or 56 4" lift BDS rears? Remove a leaf, or two to adjust ride height. Use a zero-rate for even more wheelbase. You'd be way ahead and succesfully stretch your wheelbase

Consider the idea canned... Sometimes an idea sounds really good until you wright it down on paper, which was what happened here. I kind of figured it wouldn't work but IF it did work, I assumed someone on here might have done it already. I appreciate all the information and opinions! :thumb:

I did exactly what you are talking about to mine. Moved the front hangers forward, also move the rear bushing mounts forward, just like you need for 56"s, except I am still running the 52"s. My shackle angle isn't what I like, but its not incorrect either. Do it. It will keep your tire out of the firewall, or at least I needed to with 39.5 iroks.
