moving th350 shifter to floor

does anybody ever do this and is it even a good idea.? it just seems like it would make steering column assembly a little easier. i did a quick search and only came up with stuff for the camaro. since my body will be off for awhile, now would be a good time to see if its possible
 
Lots of guys do move them down there on Offroad and competition trucks. Aside from the difference in seat height vs floor, they install the same as the camaros

There was a thread here a few months back on aftermarket shifters. I’ll look for it
 
that's perfect, thank you sir! gonna go with the hurst and hopefully i can find a way to fit it next to the ORD twin stick for the 203
 
T handles are for 4 speeds and angry old men!

In terms of logistics, it’s takes up less room side to side
For me, I used one for years in different cars, and I just like how it works better. Kinda like choosing a 1911 over something else...
 
Actually stopped using the T handle after having to straighten shift rods on a Muncie. Must be a bad driver :haha:
