Damn, I'm behind the times
All I have is my notebook (Toshiba Satellite Pro 2300, thank you work ) connected to a Discman home stereo adapter (1/8" stereo to 2 RCA one-holes) running into the "Aux In" on the back of my deck.
I think in-dash MP3 players are a good idea, if people can hardly talk on their cell phones and drive, could you imagine what it'd be like if they were driving around using Napster?

sure they work, but you have to get details regarding the player to see if it fits your needs. How easy is it to upload/changes songs on it, how many mp3's can it store, how well does it resists shock, does it send a stereo or mono signal, etc., etc... Armed with this type of info, you should be able to make a descision.
