I thought I read that Holley ECU can't run the factory GM injectors?I have daily driven my C10 with the ProFlo4 on 350 for 6 years which equals about 60k miles. It hasn't left me stranded. It has some glitchy issues. Mostly the TPS likes to jump around on me randomly which just makes it idle a little poorly. I've never been able to dial in the idle so that when cold it doesn't die when I put it into gear. I have to rerun the wizard every few months because the part throttle acceleration starts getting rough. If I rerun the wizard, it runs great for awhile. It's almost like the fuel table gets corrupted. Even slowing down the learn doesn't help. Every once in awhile I'll be driving along and it just cuts off for a second but then keeps going. Every time I wonder if it's gonna die for good.
I also have the Edelbrock trans controller running a 4l80e.
I wish the Edelbrock software allowed more customizing like the Holley Terminator. I like the Terminator running the factory efi on the GenVI 454 in the crew cab much better in that regard. I think of the Edelbrock ProFlo4 being like an Apple phone and the Holley Terminator is like a Samsung phone. Edelbrock locks you down like Apple and Holley gives you the freedom to mess things up.
I put LS1 injectors in the factory fuel rail. I don't know if it could have fired the OE injectors, I needed higher flowing injectors anyway. Running the Terminator also let me run coil near plug.I thought I read that Holley ECU can't run the factory GM injectors?
Since you haven’t gone down the LS rabbit hole yet, I’ll dispel a couple of things you are worried about.I'm not at all opposed to an LS swap, but I'm thinking how many rabbit holes I'd end up down. Motor and trans mounts, new driveshafts, T-case adapters (?), misaligned shifters, all the emissions stuff that I need to obtain or it will throw codes, and on and on. And that's after I find a suitable donor and maybe do a rebuild.
