mph guage

hey guys got a quicky my speedo guage bounces all over the place somethimes and sometimes it works fine i think the cable goes into the T-case, if it dose it was loose i tightened it down only fingure tight though. dose it go tighter i didnt want to over tighten it. should i put lock tight on it?

I gave up on an accurate speedometer in both of my trucks, I plan on getting a $90 GPS and going with that
