well my HEI dizzy is taking a dump so instead of fixing little things and keeping it stock, i want to just replace it and start fresh.

now i have the MSD box and then Accel super wires and ac delco plugs all with less than 5k on them so im ok there just the dizzy

now i plan on running a blower very shortly, and i was wondering what MSD distributer would be the best for me since they seem to make so many

it will be on a 86 k5 with a 350

What kind of blower are you planning on? This might dictate which distributor you'll need.

Are you staying carbed and does your current distributor have a vacuum advance and mechanical advance or neither?

I agree i dont think the hei will fit with the blower. if you need i have the accell version of this dist. want to trade for your msd box? lol

so if im reading that correctly does that mean my brand new MSD box wont work?

No, your box will work with it just fine, it means that distributor doesn't NEED a box to work. Some MSD distributors require a box in order to work but this one does not although it will accept a box just as the factory HEI would.

ahh good, i like that better than needing it. that way if my box fails on the trail im not screwed.

anything else i need to go with it?

I know you said your wires are new but i've had trouble with accel wires many years ago. I use nothing but MSD wires now and have never had a problem and i've had the same set on an engine for 10+ years. Just something to look out for, if you don't have any problems with them then run them.
