MSD Ignition bypass ?\'s

I have a 4 pin module and I am having ignition problems. I need to know how to bypass my MSD 6 box to rule that out. I have the module and wiring removed to put the MSD in, how do I hook up the module and get it to run on the distributor like normal? thanks

What year truck and what engine? also are there 1 or 2 wires goin into top of factory coil?

Re install the module and plug the connector back into the distributor cap also plug the battery connection back into the cap, it is that easy
