Alright Summit sells an MSD upgrade kit. It comes with a 6A ignition box, blaster 2 coil, and the dust cover adaptor for external coil. I don't know what else may be in it, I'm too messsed up right now to go looking. Summit wanted $200 for it. I want to put a new coil in and a 6A ignition box on the K5's motor. Is this a worthwhile mod? I'm lookinh fot better starts and idle, high Rs will be nice but not the point of the setup for me. As well I am gonna run vaccum advance kit. Adjust it for torque, full timing lot sooner. Sorry if none of this makes sense I'm a little umm yes away form myself right now.

I have just the 6AL box and bought it for the rev limiter only. I don't know about performance but I think my truck idles better than without it too. I do know you can flood the crap out of it and it'll still start. /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

So far I'm really happy with my MSD setup.

I like MSD ignition I have 2 trucks that run full Msd ignitions I'd go with that kit and then later on upgrade to the Msd Distributor also /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif

yeah I'm gonna go with this kit and later on add a rev controler and their distributor.

Ditto Go with a 6AL box now It'll be cheaper in the longrun

you will be happy with this set up. MSD makes great products.I have a MSD promag on my rig..........

MSD's Blaster SS is a better coil. Throws a better spark then the Blaster 2. It is about the same price too. It is what I run in my truck.
