90 tbi burb- i was given a msd 6al controller unit-if i hook it up ,can i expect any noticeable gains--stock motor- Thanks for any input.

Doubtful you'll see any difference on a FI rig but on a carbed rig that's a whole nother story.

What benefits can you see if you have a carb. Ive never used one before..

A vehicle that is Fuel injected is already optimized in both the fuel delivery and the spark delivery. Since the ECM controls spark there is no need for any kind of Multiple Spark device IMHO. I had/have an MSD 6A box and cannot tell any difference with or without it hooked up. A vehicle that doesn't have an ECM to control spark will benefit from the MSD box in that it will give you a longer duration of spark to help burn more of the fuel in the cylinder and give a smoother idle and quicker starts.

thanks for the time saving info.ill give that box back to my buddy and let him know about using it mainly for carbed motors. saved me about 2hours of my life.-and a lot of guess work
