anyone using an msd ignition box. i picked one up for cheep and have the msd 6 box and super conductor wires. was woundering how diff it is to put on my carbed hei distributor

Running one on each of my vehicles. Made starting easier on my 82. Simple to install, just follow the instructions off the web site.

did you change your coil? on that 82?

I have a stock HEI coil in it for now. The '56 has the adapter cap with an external Blaster coil. I also have a Ford with the MSD coil. All of the MSD units are 6A models and have worked well. I wish I had gone with the 6AL on the '56, but that's hindsight.
I'm very partial to the stock GM HEI systems. They are pretty bullet proof and work well for the RPM range most of us use. I just happened into some decent deals for these MSD units.
work good for me. thay even burn oil good
