Story: My dad bought this car when he was 15. It was his first vehicle. When he got it it was a million different colors beat to hell etc etc.... well, about 8ish years ago he did a "restoration" on it. A couple years ago he decided to drunk drive home from a car show and ran the side of it down my old powerstroke in the driveway.(both of my parents have ran into my parked vehicle in the driveway, worst part was my mom has done it twice sober both times???). But anyways...

My parents ended up getting divorced, my dad hasnt touched a beer since, and now he wants to redo the car over again to "wash" away bad memories i guess you could say. Cue cole.

I just bought my first house with my wife and i ended up with a decent man space. Told my dad lets do a father son project, bring the car up. Before i tear into it i decided to give it one last run and ended up blowing up the rear end....so on to the project

1955 Chevrolet bel-air 2dr hardtop
-327
-some 5 speed im unsure of yet
-blown up stock rear end

Plan:
6.0 from 02 silverado
T56 if i dont like the 5spd
9" rear

This is going to be a sloooow build thread because there is going to be a fock ton of learning going on. Of course i cant just throw a stock 6.0 in there so there is going to be a lot of learning, fabricating...making up my mind what direction to go etc etc....there is a huge aftermarket foe this project so im happy about that.

O wait, I'm not Martin :D

I can upload to my fafebok but not here... anyways...pulling the 327 today so i can get the right mounts in the car. The mounts now bolt to the front of the block

It is, and empty too! At least when I was there, but they had just moved in not to long before that.

guessing 28x36

I have an attached 2 car garage for me and erin to park and the detached which the 55 is in is only 30x30 i think... i know its 30 wide but might be a bit longer...when dave came we had only been in it for a month if that .

Still trying to fill it with stuff as money allows...being 24 im trying to be smart and save money for some reason though??? Haha

Your only 24! Ha when I was 24 I spent money like water, but I made lots was single and my Mom and Dad had a big shop that I could store and work on cars and trucks in.

Should have saved for when I got older... now I got no extra cash! :doah:
