MTRs or SSRs??

All I have to say is this...

YES MT/Rs do good in rocks and on trails.

YES Swamper has just as good of traction on rocks and in trails.

YES Swampers do better in mud.

JUST GET 37" IROK RADIALS - 37x12.5x15 - $221.78

This is how 4wheel parts describes the irok,
"An exciting new "Super Performer." A tire with traction as good as it gets in mud, snow, and rock climbing. It has a directional tread in the famous Three Stage Lug Design, scooped lugs, blade and molded siping."

I like my MTR's. They are a good tire especially for the rocks. They work pretty well for the AZ rocks. I have seen TSL's in action to and they work pretty well if you groove them out and air them down.

I would stay away from 15" rim SSR's. I have heard that they are pretty weak in the sidewall. MTR's are not a jewel for sidewall strength but they do pretty well for me sofar.

16" rim SSR's are supposed to have stronger sidewalls.

Harley, what about the 16.5" SSR? Do they have sidewalls equal in strength to the 16" size? I am just saying this because the 16" rim doesn't have the safety bead thing so the bead wont come off on a 15" or 16.5" rim compared to a 16" rim /forums/images/graemlins/dunno.gif

just my opinion and what Ive heard... but the MTRs are best on the street, on rocks and on trails. SSRs would be better in mud and soupy trails.
