MUCV(Multi-Purpose Utility Command Vehicle)...The Dirtybus...

I liked the long shots from the front seat. really gives you some perspective on what you've got going on. It looks like everything is really coming together nicely!

Thanks guys, yeah that isn't to boring... :D

There's a lot of the boring stuff that didn't get posted, I'll try and document that stuff better... Is difficult, cause I'll get in a zone and the tunnel vision kicks in... When that happens I usually don't get pics until after I stop working for the day or in the morning...

I took the bus thru emissions yesterday (passed) and decided to stop at Fredys to grab some stuff... No real reason other than the fact that it makes total sense to use the bus for running errands...:D

I come back out and there's a bee hanging out around the drivers seat... Great...

So, I'm in the Fredys parking lot battling a bee in the bus... The people driving by must think I'm completely insane...:haha:

Looks good. Don't forget several wall mounted bottle opens, inside and out.

A buddy gave me a bottle opener with a Chevy bowtie on it...:D

looking good!

with a beautiful baboon, bicycling backwards? lol

It didn't sound like that when I was typing it...:haha:

Passing emissions and going for a ride had to be a great feeling.

It's a blast to drive... Felt really good, both passing and cruising... I thought I got looks with the blazer... People almost get into wrecks rubber necking as I pass by...:eek1:

You might as well hook up the Blazer and see how she tows.

To simulate the real weight yer gonna have to fill a cooler with ice and beverages.

Might as well hit the trail....:waytogo:

Yeah, it'll be nice to put the bus on tow duty... Still need to mount the hitch and do some work on my car trailer... Looking forward to relaxing in the woods with a cold beer...

Little update...

I finally got the bus reclassified as an RV, it's no longer titled as a commercial vehicle... It's now a 1993 International Motor Home... Got plates and tabs now, so no more trip permits... Had to set an appointment with the state patrol to have it inspected... They really liked it and gave me the reclassification to take to the dmv... $320 for all the different fees and inspection...

I installed some mini blinds in it... Also took it to a get together with some close friends last weekend... Had a great time and the bus did awesome... A lot more comfortable than the last time we had it out... Hopefully I'll get back to working on it, but I need to finish up a shed project first...

It's free to have it done here, just have to pay for the new title, and I did that when I plated it, so it cost me nothing extra.

Here in Washington they nickel and dime you to death... No way around it other than paying the piper...

Is the shed going to be big enough for the Dirtybus?:D

No, it's just a10x12 walled carport... I don't have a garage, so I need something to keep working in during the winter... I built a nice shed a few years ago that houses all my tools and keeps them safe, so I'm building a work area in front of it...

Interesting!

Didn't expect to see a build like this on here...
I like it!!
What a cool Idea, and well executed, and definitely a head turner:waytogo:

Thanks, it's a blast to drive around and defiantly turns a lot of heads... The further along I get in the build, the more fun it gets... Don't get me wrong, I like the process of building things and getting creative... Now that I've got a big portion of the build done, it's nice to enjoy the bus as I'm working on it... If I don't feel like finishing something right then, I can grab a beer out of the fridge and take a seat... Kinda like when the blazer was to the point that I could sit behind the wheel and make Vroom Vroom noises...:D

Vroom Vroom noises

:D

I can remember when My wife would do that while we were 1st building the Power Wagon.

I have a visual now!!:haha:

Hung out in the bus the other night and shortened the mini blinds... Got the goofy little things that hold the bottom of the blinds in place installed... Getting a lot more homey in the bus...

Bought a tub of rv air dry stuff at Wally World for under $10 that seems to be working pretty good... We'll see how long it lasts, but it does seem like it's soaking up moisture...

You've brought that a long ways...great job :bow::bow::thumb:

So speaking of headroom I read somewhere its very easy to take ( well not easy) all the rivets out that hold the roof on and weld extensions onto the square tube super structure of the walls and then add in sheetmetal and voila you have a raised roof.

I am sure you have perused alot more than I did it seem like you could do that?

Looking good. I think something like this may be in my future
