MUCV(Multi-Purpose Utility Command Vehicle)...The Dirtybus...

I guess my post was part of the server problem...:D

Thanks for the comments guys...

Blazin...

The inside is 6'1" floor to ceiling, I'm only 5'9" so it wasn't an issue for me... There are taller models than mine, but doing a roof raise would be pretty simple... There's a lot of people doing it...

If I were to do it again, I would look into something like a greyhound that has a toilet already with plumbing and black tank... They're also taller to start off with and have basement storage that goes all the way thru from one side to the other...

If not a greyhound then it would be a rear engine pusher, that way there is no driveline taking up all the room underneath for building storage and tank placement... That played a big part on how everything had to be planned out...

The other thing would be cutting out the stairs and relocating the door to the middle of the bus... I thought about doing this but my fuel cell is between the wheel wells and it would have sucked trying to make it work... I would also make it nice for a co-pilot seat up front...

Yah I have been on alot of the conversion website.

Skoolies is one I lurk on often.

The roof raises are pretty easy and if I did a bus it would have to get it because I am 6'2'

Buses are just too short.

Greyhound type bus would be much cooler.

I would kill to be able to do a 60s style bus like a silverside GMC bus.

In all reality I will probably never even get around to doing one

Based on your builds, you're just as bad as I am about jumping in head first...:D Do it...

I really like the Gillig chrome buses or the older Crowns with the round back, but yeah ideally a greyhound or charter type would be best... I may end up building one as a retirement type coach down the road... Make it really nice like the million dollar coaches...

Here's probably my favorite bus right now...

Had the bus out this weekend, it's nice and comfy...

Bunk hooked me up with some RV lights... Thanks again... And thanks to Jimmy for dropping them off... Now I need to order the led pucks to mod the lights...

Thinking about building a bunk like this in the front above the drivers seat...

Been awhile, thought I'd stop by and say hi... I've had a lot going on in my life over the last few months... Had the bus out a few times and enjoyed it... Still have a lot to do, but it's getting some use...

Ted knew I was loading up the bus for an outing and wouldn't leave it...

Used the bus as a parts getter one day when the truck blew a rad hose...

Picked up some free carpet cut offs for the bedroom area... Ted approves...

Getting cozy back there... It's nice to get up to take a leak without putting on shoes...

I love this thing so much, good to see it's getting much deserved love.

Ever had to use the chains yet? Are they still on it?

I've played with the chains, but haven't needed to use them yet...

The flux capacitor and a bunch of other stuff came out of an RV that I traded a half gallon of Sailor Jerry to strip out the inside... One of my best trades ever...:D

I'd love to see some pics and updates on this one too. One of my favorite builds.

saw one at the campground this week and thought of this one...
