our pits aren't really timed....they are so bad it just comes down to who goes the fartherest. there are only 2-3 trucks that can do a full pass and they have their gears set up with like 4.11's in the rear and 3.08's in the front....
they go thru the pit looks like its about a 45 degree angle....the rear down deep and the front tires spinning alot faster helps float the front end, but as soon as they get out of the mud where the tires can't slip, they stop and put it in 2wd.....when they are in the deepest part about half way thru and the rest of the track...motors are screamin and they are creeping, sometimes working the wheel back and forth real fast making the truck to start rocking side to side and just holding it to the floor at about 2-3 mph, rear tires completly under, front tires about 1/3 under. but these are guys who have 50-75,000 in their rigs. showing up with two trucks on a lowboy behind a kenworth. thebaddest truck here is called the"dirt water fox", from some western movie, clint eastwood , i think. he told me he had close to $35,000 in his motor.
