came across 2 sets, never mounted. they kinda look like the bfg mud tire. friend works for a tire shop said they are cheap crappy tire.

anyone have some experience with them? his price is pretty good for a 35" tire.

thanks

a few friends have them because of the price of a 33. they said they are good in snow and decent in the mud. they really had complaints but dont offroad much with them.

they still make those?? Haven't seen them in a few years. Had them on my old Blazer round 2001-2002. They did pretty good for what i did. Mostly river and a little mud.

What is considered a cheap crappy tire??

they are older, been sitting on a shelf for a long time. mud kings are cheap. so he said

I had 33" Mud Kings on my rig. They worked fine. They're about as durable as any other 2-ply sidewall tire. I wore mine out driving and wheeling, and on the last trip to Upper Woodpecker I finally took out a sidewall (they were nearly bald by then). So, I replaced 'em with 37" FC-II's.

If the price is right, why not?

I've had several sets on different trucks and was very pleased with them. The only reason I don't have them on my '90 Suburban is the 2 ply sidewall. My 'burb is heavy and it's my tow rig so I wanted a three ply sidewall, so it was BFG's.

I'll be the voice of dissent then... I HATED mine. Wore very fast, lot of weight to balance, and chunked on rocky trails. Boo.

I had 35's on my truck before I got the 3/4tons and TSL's. They are just another generic MT, nothing will ever beat the goodyears and bfg's but they kick the crap out of AT's.

currently have a set of them on my truck, there not bad, but i dont like them and wouldnt buy another set unless they were a steal

I had a set of 33's on my 3/4ton burb. They only had about 1000 miles on them when I bought the burb and when I sold it I had put over 80K on them and they still had 50% tread left.

As you can tell they aren't for rock crawling. I had a set of 31's on my Ranger. I had them siped and man if they weren't some of the best tires I've ever had for DD and winter use. Wheeled like any other mud tire would for what I do and did great in the winter and on the road. Wore very well even with my sorta-half aligned TTB.
My buddy put a set of 265's on his Ranger and even with all kinds of IFS problems, his abuse, and heavy right foot he got 20k or so without much noticeable wear before he sold the truck.
A friend saw over 50k out of them on her Z71.

I like them.

Only thing is...how old? You say they've been sitting...how long and are they age cracked?

$75 a tire for 35's? What do you have to lose? If you get even 20k out of them it is still a bargain :wink1:

As long as they aren't aged/rotting and cracked then that's a hell of a price. Sipe them up and they're great in the winter.
