I'm planning to run 37" tires in the Jimmy. The tires would need to be good mud/snow tires. Since I have bought neither of these beofre I have nothing to compare to. I was thinking about the H1 Military tires but after reading many reviews, they don't get much love in the mud department.

Wheels will either be 16.5 or 17"

Recommendations?

I have 37*12.5*17 BFG Mud Terrains KM2 (the new style) and love them. Unless you already have 16.5 rims and cann't afford new rims get 17'' rims and tires. 17s are I believe the new standard and have tons of options in wheels and tires.

I agree on the 17" being the new standard, I couldn't find much in the 16.5" variety anymore, so I ditched the idea of getting a Hummer wheel.
17" it is for me.
Just waiting to find the right H2 deal.:dunno:

I rock these, and have never had a scary moment. :thumb:

I run the KM2s. Like them so far. Haven't had them on snowpacked roads yet. Did run them on a snowy trail and liked them.

My first choice was the new MTR, but they were on backorder everywhere when I needed tires. They have some smaller tread blocks and better siping which provides better traction on snowpacked roads.

And yeah, go with 17s.

The KM2 look good and have great reviews however I'm not spending $400+ per tire. Might be ok for you rich folks :pimp:

Well, with tires, you pay for what you get. Been in the auto repair, dealership, tire store business long enough to know this....

You can like the price and hate the tire.

Or you can hate the price and like the tire.

That's just the way it is. I chose option 2.

stock head that comes with it works good up to 38x12.50 tsl swapers for wear bars to match width.

and here is pics of groved h1 tires.

let the gun heat up and do the work. you will know when your going to fast for the heat to catch up. the blade and heat will cut just fine if you use both as a team and not force it.

also your shoulders will be whipped when done if its your first time. :haha:
