don't ruin it with an exo. It will look ugly and add a ton of weight. just do an simple internal with everything you have already and be done. try to keep it as light as you can. That's the key with those things...put me first in line if you sell it..thats exactly what I want for my boy in 2 years
There ain't room for me and a rollcage inside that cab. Besides I'm not doing a big obnoxious exo like most. I plan on a simple partial exo over the cab and through the fenders. Like this.

I kinda like the jeep cage, except those exposed flares are probably the most expensive body part on that thing and will be first to get smashed.
For what you're doing, the simple support will be better IMO. If it's strictly a wheeler, there's no need to add that much weight in tubing. Like you said, turn that sheet metal into aluminum foil!

Oh, I almost forgot. I would absolutely put in a remote battery disconnect and a removable steering wheel. Those trucks get stolen like nobodies business

I've already ordered a removable wheel setup I had planned on a battery disconnect. You can start this thing with a flat head screw driver. I might even have another switch around here. I'll have to look.

I installed new seats, the old ones were destroyed. I also ordered up a new steering wheel and disconnect.

I used to have an '83 Toy 4x4 but it was all stock. Great damn trucks though.
