hehe, I said muff..... :haha::crazy:

anyway, I wasn't sure whether to put this here, or The Shooting Range... Was looking for some input on shooters muffs..

I have some Bluepoint and Snappy ones.. pretty decent, standard, off the truck ones...

I was wondering whats out there that may be higher quality, quieter, etc? are ones for the range nicer? brands?

thanks..... :bow:

Paul, i have two. One is made by North Safety called Gun Muffler and works nice. The other I liked best is by Peltor and is model Bull's Eye Ultimate 10. If you want good ear protection get the ones the pros use that look like muffs but you can hear conversation at normal hearing decibels and when a gun is fired it instantly muffles the sound. It's kinda like the auto darkening welding helmets principle but for the ears. Hope my discription makes sence.

Check this site out and then check to see how much $$$ you have in your account. If you have a need to wear muffs a lot then it is money well spent. Especially if you are crawling around in noisey engine rooms.

thanks Hoby, exactly what I was looking for...

I've always wanted a decent set for at work in the sportfish engine rooms... but couldn't justify it... now that I've been spending weekends grinding, etc all day, I can justify a pair..

I have a set of the norton gun muffs I use at work. They fit under a welding helmet ok (not decent but workable) and are cheap enough that if they get broke I can afford to replace them. I also use them with a cutting torch to keep out the sparks and slag that get thrown up.
