First off i know this isnt a truck problem but i need help!!! The daughter has a '90 pontiac 6000, yes it is all wheel drive /forums/images/graemlins/thumb.gif but thats another story. The problem is at idle in gear the moter will surge badly for about 20 seconds then die. It will start right back up and run ok in nuetral or park but in gear it will do it all over again??? It has the 3.1 multi-port engine in it and i know NOTHING about FI. Any thoughts or suggestions on what might cause this?
