Multi-purpose cross members/cage mounts

So long as I'm ripping the floor pan out of my 88 I'd like to possibly put a structure back in there to more securely tie a future roll cage to the frame. Since I intend to put rocksliders in this seems an obvious mounting point up front, as well as the new tail pan I just put in. I'd also like to consider repositioning the rear shock mounts, I don't want to add too much weight, so would the location of that member be a decent third mounting point for a cage?

Any examples/experience that can be shared greatly appreciated.
