Anyone used one of these things? Seen one in operation? My Dad linked me to it.

http://www.multiplaz.com/about

Did a little digging, didn't find many who had used it, just seemed interesting. The one guy who wrote about it seemed pretty impressed. Maybe he worked for them? lol

Never herd of it. I looked up some videos of it, it cuts slow it looks like. Interesting though. Would have to see it in action to believe it's all that and a box of chocolates.

The one person who wrote about his experiences with it outside of the company's website said that on thin steel (I didn't see the company's videos) it cut as fast as he could move his hand.

Spelling, grammar or technical mistakes (at least fairly obvious ones) on a company's website normally raise a red flag for me, but someone mentioned these are a Russian design, so perhaps that is the reason for the errors I see on the site.

Looks interesting, never heard of it. Cutting 3/8" thick metal is not much for a 220V machine compared to many plasma cutters. And the "guns" look like they are from 1977. I also wonder how the welds look. It looks to be kind of like a TIG welder because they are manually feeding welding wire, yet they say it is very easy to use and even a beginner can do it?

It does make me curious.

Yes, I'm scouring youtube hoping to find some "impartial" reviews. So far haven't found much.

One of the comments made was that some of the welds looked so bad that they would fail visual. But again, so far haven't found any welding experts that have reviewed it.

I wasn't fond of the welds myself. and didn't find to many good vids either. Still curious about it.

Probably is the same company. There is some "green" aspect of the multiplaz advertising as well, I find it really hard to believe that a majority of people who are into welding really care about weldings impact on the environment. Overall cost on the otherhand....

The one thread I read, the guy who bought the machine wasn't really interested in proving how good the welds were. Lots of posts on it, and maybe he was genuine is in his like, or maybe he was a schill. Who knows?

To me, it sounded/looked like traditional welding/cutting methods are still as good, if not better, than the multiplaz. If nothing else, it seems slow to cut.

Yeah, I HIGHLY doubt I'll be buying one lol!
