multiple anttenas????? (like 8)

ok i understande what one anntena dose.

And I get the shape of the range running two, but why would you need 6 or 8?

i have notised some two trucks in my area have multipule pairs of antennas on there rigs.

i could undersatns maybe CB, and a scanner takeing up a few sets but why so many?

is there a way to use multiple small anntena to acheave a ful 1/4 wound anntenna, instend of useing single larger ones?

I prefer 1 quality antenna. Just seams too work well without any headakes.

My cousin has 5 I think Twin Sticks for CB, (1) Company Radio, (1) Radio, & (1) Sirus....

It's hard to guess what they could all be for without knowing what they look like or having seen them. How tall were they? And were they all similar, or noticably different?

the longest was 3 feet, maybe 3 pairs, a pair or two 2 feet and a few short ones 18" maybe, all bare stainless anntennas

Sounds like a HAM rig.
I have seen quite a few trucks around here that have between 2 and 4, 10 K's (fighting sticks) but the trucks i see are running above 1Kw of power. When the antennas are set up like that they can stagger tune of a sorts and have the RF wave propagation mostly in one direction. IE: better range, but very directional.
