So I took the dash off thinking it was going to help route the wire for the window relay passenger side.

Once it was off noticed some aftermarket dash speakers on the sides.

Seen a decent whole in the center and the dash had perforated material like If a speaker would go there.

I bought a new stereo. Amp and some speakers. It’s seemed like 4 inch speakers on the sides. The ones I bought didn’t fit right. JL 4” c2. Then I bought 3.5’s. I also added 6.5 C2 in the rear right by the seat belt. Mounted the amp behind the panel.

Aluminum plate with 2 4” speakers in the middle.

What a difference the dash speakers make.

I believe the lowest option radio got a single speaker in the center of the dash there?

I put 6.5’s in the same place in the rear.

I just added an extra set to the rear of the truck close to the tail gate. Added 2 12’s for a little bass

Very nice upgrade!
I’ve always done big stereos in all of my vehicles.
I’ve had my old Rockford Fosgate amps in since I bought her in 1999. I’ve got Q-pods up front holding 6.5 inch Polk Audio speakers and 6.5s in the same rear location as you. I’m still running a 10” Alumapro sub I bought from back in the 90s lol. That thing is still going strong. Years back I covered almost everything in dynamat, all but the rear cab. When I re-paint her this year, God willing, I’ll have the inside of the camper sprayed with a spray on dead deadening.
