Well I have had my Blazer almost 3 years now. And one thing i have always wanted is a Matching Trailer. Well Now is the time i start building. Here is a picture of my Blazer and my Trailer. It will be a self sustaining Trailer. With LED lighting a custom interior, Deep cell battery, solar panels, Stereo, Stove, Flip Down DVD player, 4" Procomp Lift, 33x12.5x15 Firestone Destination M/T, Brilliant Blue Paint job, Black top. I plan on having it done by next summer. My first goal is to scrap the bed and get a nicer one from a junk yard. (This one is very rotted) I will try and keep it as updated as i can!

Here is a picture of her the day I bought her 3 years ago(Almost)

nice
not sure about the lift though, unless you can get the leafs cheap, blocks would suffice for a trailer I would think.

Thanks. Yeah I do plan on a 4" Block in the rear. It would be plenty. know of anyone who has got one for sale?

I would shackle flip the blazer and use the blocks you remove for the trailer.

Going to put a truck/toolbox in front of the trailer on the frame rails? Dress that front area up some and it would look pretty darn awesome... in my opinion. Those trailers were always goofy looking to me because no one ever done anything with the front frame rails (and left them rusty looking).

Dig it, both the camaro and the blazer/trailer thing

I plan to build a matching trailer for mine sometime too, gotta do a body swap first and mine will be more for camping gear than anything else.

I although plan to build the frame for my trailer and not use a stock type frame.

Looking forward to seeing what you do

Thanks guy for all the responces.
80' 427- Yeah I would but this way was a little more easy and cheeper.
mrwilliamsburg33- Not a tool box as I already have a Nice craftsman box in the Truck. I am thinking a Box(Dimond Plate?) that is a on rails and it slides out to either left or right side and it will have all my cooking stuff on it. (Grill, Plates pots pans cups the whole 10 yards.)
I ended up going with a 3" Block lift I got it from Checkers for like 29$ and it turned out pretty well.
My First step was to empty the Bed out to make it light enough for me and a buddy to lift off the Frame. The guy had used a million and one screws to hold all this wood down.

The frame was in pretty decent shape only problem was Both the left and right upper shock mounts were broken off. I will have a friend weld them back up for me.

After we got it off I threw the Bed on craigslist and not 30 seconds after i put it on i already had a guy call and on his way.
Here it was leaving...

I was up till 11 P.M Doing the lift. The U bolt nuts were so tight I had a 3 foot breaker bar on the nuts along with the 4 foot handle off my high-lift jack and TWO of us pulling on it. To break them loose. The Lower shock bolts were the same way! But at the end of the day I got the thing painted black and Lifted 3" I think it looks good so far.

fyi seen a lot of bad stuff with those cheep a$$ aluminum parts store blocks.

best to find some real blocks if you ask me.

but yes lookin good sofar.

I don't know why but for a while now I have wanted to build a matching pickup bed trailer too. I just think it would be kind of cool. Cool project :waytogo:

If it was on my Truck i would of invested into some nice Blocks. But its only going on my trailer. I dont see much that can go wrong. Maybe some thicker U-Bolts. But for the trailer they will suffice. Thanks BTW.

Yeah since day 2 of me buying it I wanted one. Glad I waited till now. Do one man, so far I have 450$ into it (Original trailer/Topper/Title/Lift/Paint) so it seems like 1,000 and it will be done.

Get a good jack for the front; the swing aways can pop off at the tip of a hat leaving you no time to to react with your feet. A trailer fell on my foot this year and broke a few bones. If they move lateral at all, it puts a big bind/stress on the retainer ring and it can pop right out.
You may not have the same kind I did, so it might work. Just a general safety reminder to all to keep your feet away from the tongue when hooking up or disconnecting.
