I mentioned Snap-On's new safety wire pliers in another thread. Well, the lock broke on my old Blue Point ones and I stopped by the truck to get them warranted. We've got a new guy and I wondered if he was going to give me a hard time.

Ended up being better than I hoped for. He grabbed me a new pair and didn't think twice about it. Then when I asked him about the new ones things got really good. First I asked him how much the new ones were. We get a discount, but it's not a set dollar or percent. He said list is $200, but our price is $150. Then I asked him about trading them in on the new style. He looked up my account, and said "sure, no problem". Then he said that all pliers were on sale this month, & knocked off another $30. The total after the trade in was 3 bucks! (Of course, I guess I did pay $117 for the initial set, but that was years ago)
