I just bought this '94 Sub, and the PO has been shutting 'er down by pulling the computer fuse. It's DAMM HOT here in Phoenix, and it doesn't shut off rite away, it'll sputter and "diesel".
I had the same prob with my '86 Diesel 6.2 Sub, and would pull the red wire off the IP, until I swapped the ingnition switch on top of the streering column, but this seems far more complicated. Thoughts???

My only thought is why do you keep buying these trucks with serious issues to drive across the country?

Yeah, I hear ya! Made it to New Orleans, 1500 miles... Now 500 miles to Jax, and 1000 home...

The prob was solved by chance, friend suggested disconnecting the fuel solenoid fuse. There was a crappy blue wire tapped into that fuse, so I removed it, and it was back feeding the 'pooper, and now it shuts down perfectly!
