Welcome to the board. Good looking K5. I'll let others comment on using 40"s with your current lift. Others will know if your likely to have fittment issues.

Here's my Blazer that is pretty tame compared to the above ones.

Just go right up to 42's. :hack: :smirk:

Are those rock sliders I see? Are they as low as they look to be in the pics?

yes they are rock sliders out where i ride which is grayrockorv.com if u dont have rock sliders or 54's your screwed and i think that are about 30 inches of the groundbut they really help iam about to add a bar from the middle cage bar and come out the body and go to the back bar for more protection. if that dont work ill dove taill buts that alot of work

mnorby wat kinf=d of doubler is that and wats your ratio i defintily need that

I run a fairly healthy 454 thoruhg a th400 through WMS 203/205 doubler to 1-tons loaded with 4.56s turning 40s. Seems to crawl nice with doubler and highway ok when needed with taller gears

1972dozer, what transmission/transfercase are you running behind the 5.3?

really nice rig...here's mine & the complete build up in my sig, but I doubt you'd want to go thru 20+ pages of stuff :haha: short n sweet 350,700R4, 203/LoMax, triple sticked, 60/70-5.86s*Detroits, full hydro, 44s, plus a whole lot more.
