I finally decided to get it going. The rear end had gone out 5 yrs ago, just after i put brand new tires on it. i had some extra money and found a 4:10 rear end on cl.
wasnt sure if it would start I put a fresh battery in it, poured some gas down the carb and much to my amazement it started right up, stayed running even with 5 yr old gas.
I put in rearend drove it and the steering was really bad so i replaced everything, knuckes ball joints tie rod ends, still wandered around. So i replaced the front spring bushings, the funny thing the steering wheel was off centered to the left, after i replaced the bushing it is back to center.

I'll trade you that Jimmy for a half empty Corona, a deaf, blind 14 year old black Lab and $3.12. You should hurry before the Corona is empty and Homer goes "clunk". :D

I have a 75 k5. Mine was sitting 4 years. Mine's been down due to wheel bearings/hubs.
I took a drive tonight. Next I think I"ll need some leaf springs. Mine are frowning. They actually appear to be inverted or something.
Anywho, that is a nice ride that you have. I opted to use a lot of seafoam and stabil in my gas so hopefully I'll be ok not to drop the gas tank.

Stock *front* springs are inverted, so that's normal.

If they're lift springs, or you're talking about the rears ... yeah, that's bad.
